Privacy Policy
Last updated 13 September 2026
This policy explains what Ali Consulting collects when you use this site, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the control you have over it. It covers visitors in the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area.
Who is responsible for your data
Ali Consulting decides how and why the information described here is handled. Under the General Data Protection Regulation we are the data controller. You can reach us at the contact address published on this site.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in the application form we collect your name, email address, phone number if you choose to give one, the type of work you do, a revenue range, how ready you are to start, and whatever you write in the free text answers.
Information about your visit. We record which page you arrived on, the referring website, and any campaign tags in the link you followed, such as utm_source or utm_campaign. If you play the video we record how many seconds of it you watched.
Booking information. If you book a call, our scheduling provider collects your name, email address, time zone and chosen time, and passes it back to us.
Technical information. Our hosting and security providers process your IP address and browser details to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use your IP address to build a profile of you.
We do not ask for and do not want special category data such as health, religion, political opinion or biometric information. Please do not put any of that in the free text answers.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
To answer your application and arrange a call. Without this information we cannot respond to you. Legal basis: performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering one.
To send you emails about the offer you applied for. Legal basis: your consent, which you give with the tick box on the form, and which you can withdraw at any time.
To understand which advertising works. Legal basis: your consent, collected through the cookie banner where consent is required. Where consent is not legally required we rely on our legitimate interest in measuring our own marketing, and you can still object.
To keep records, meet tax and accounting duties, and defend legal claims. Legal basis: legal obligation and legitimate interest.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross context behavioural advertising in the sense used by United States state privacy laws.
We do use service providers who process data on our behalf under contract:
- A hosting and database provider, to run this site and store applications
- An email delivery provider, to send the emails you agreed to receive
- A scheduling provider, to run the calendar and the call
- A video delivery provider, to stream the video
- Advertising and analytics providers, only where you have allowed cookies
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, to protect our rights, or as part of a sale or restructuring of the business.
Where your data goes
Our providers may process data in the United States, the European Union, Australia and elsewhere. Where personal data leaves the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the United Kingdom Addendum, or an adequacy decision, depending on the country. Australian visitors should note that overseas recipients may not be bound by the Australian Privacy Principles, and by using the site you acknowledge this.
How long we keep it
Applications and the notes attached to them are kept for three years from your last contact with us, so that we can pick up a conversation where it stopped. Email records are kept for as long as you stay subscribed, and for two years after you unsubscribe so we can prove you asked us to stop. Records needed for tax and accounting are kept for seven years. Anything else is deleted once it has served its purpose.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can email the contact address published on this site and ask us to:
- Give you a copy of what we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your information
- Stop sending you email, which you can also do from the link in any email we send
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area you also have the right to restrict how we use your information, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, to receive your data in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting anything done before you withdrew it. You may complain to your national supervisory authority, and in the United Kingdom to the Information Commissioner's Office.
If you are in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas or another United States state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the right to know, delete, correct and to opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising. We do not sell or share your data in that sense, but you may still exercise these rights, and we will not treat you differently for doing so. You may use an authorised agent, and we honour Global Privacy Control signals sent by your browser.
If you are in Australia you may request access to and correction of your personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles, and you may complain to us first and then to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if you are not satisfied with our answer.
We answer requests within thirty days. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act.
Security
Applications are stored in an access controlled database. Administrative access is limited to people who need it, and is protected by individual accounts. No system is perfect, so we do not promise absolute security, but we do take it seriously and we will tell you and the relevant regulator without undue delay if a breach puts you at risk.
Children
This site is for people running a business. It is not directed at anyone under sixteen, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen. If you believe a child has given us information, email the contact address published on this site and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date below. If the change is significant we will say so on this page.
